Leigh Brown is an American artist and designer based in Palm Beach. Her sensibility is shaped by a love of history and fashion. Having begun her career studying womenswear at prestigious Central Saint Martin’s in London, and working in the studios of Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood, she brings an expressive line to her work, signalling to a sartorial foundation.

Since pivoting from apparel design to launching her studio in 2019, Leigh has worked on a broad range of commissions, from fashion projects, to art for interiors, and illustration work for film, boutiques, hotels and books. She has collaborated with a variety of companies including Oracle and Nordstrom.

Recent projects have taken her around the world to places like Punta Mita where she captured golf-scapes for The Four Seasons Resort, to Marfa where she drew on location as resident sketch artist for a destination wedding, and to DC’s federal courthouse to sketch at legendary trials.

She has completed portrait commissions for prominent figures within retail, journalism and finance- most notably Givenchy, Tom Ford, The New York Times and The Carlyle Group.

Prior to the launch of her eponymous studio, Leigh was a seasoned womenswear designer with a history of success working for fashion houses in NYC and along the west coast. She was a leading figure behind the launch of Blank NYC and Nordstrom's collaboration with Olivia Palermo. She has partnered with major apparel brands like Victoria’s Secret and Anthropologie to create original artworks and designs. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including Vogue, Architectural Digest and NRC, in addition to features at major retailers such as Bloomingdales, Intermix and Saks Fifth Ave.

In addition to commercial art, Leigh specializes in portraiture, having varied clients with requests for family members and pets to established institutions, and figures within government— notably the late Secret Service Agent Robert Wanko who was seen unfolding the stock of an uzi during the assassination attempt of Ronald Reagan.

She is represented by Drawn Together NYC for live-sketching at events.
